I recieved my Eagle in 1968 and if I remember correctly my BoR
lasted over 1.5 hrs. I went over everything I had learned since
Tenderfoot and I believe the whole experience, although somewhat
difficult, was a life changing experience. My whole scouting
history was reviewed everything from the basic handshake to how
to survive in the wilderness. IMHO a BoR of this kind shows a
committee people if the boy in front of them is actually ready to
take on the added responsibility expected of an Eagle Scout.
Although I'm not currently involved with the Boy Scouts I still
believe that this is an excellent organization and I look forward
to becoming involved again real soon.
