As far as I know, the commercially aviable vibration absorbers use a stuff that is called Sorbothane (also beeing used in running shoe inlays). I suppose, the bolts are not thighten too much? How do they perform? btw. This sandwich azimuth platter is great! A similar commercial stuff is called Alucore. See: http://www.alucore.de/english/produkte/index-alucore.htm.
