Ringer equivalence number. It's a measure of how many standard telephones a
device is in terms of load on the line. Maximum allowed on a line is 3,
which means 3 telephones usually. (Okay I admit I have five and an
answering machine :-) So with an REN of 0.3, I can put 10 Supras on the
same line and still be ok. :-)

Sorry I meant to reply to your netmail about that. When I read that bulletin on
your BBS I thought you meant driveRs, not drives. I don't have any to sell
or know where you can get them unfortunately, although if you twist my arm
enough I'll sell you my half-dead CR-521 ... :-)
