I do not have a problem when I reedit messages. It is Jean Parrot that
is having the problem and I was just making suggestion to him to try
 and track down the problem.

After reading the message that Dale Shipp sent I think the reason that
Jean is having trouble and I am not is that Jean is using BW2.12 and I
am using BW2.30. I also know that Jean uses Doc's which has a QWK door.
The QWK packets are the ones that need the fix. The BW problem was in
the door on the BBS end. I use 3 different BBS's two of which also use
the QWK door, but I also use Juge.com which has both a QWK door and a
BW door and I use the BW door there. But I have not had a problem with
the QWK reply packets. I am all the time reopening messages and or
packets. In fact most of the time I never delete a packet. I add new
messages and delete the messages I have already sent from the packet so
I have no idea when the packets I am using were first activated, may
have been a couple years ago or more. I do this with both QWK and BW
 packets.

I have not played with it in a long time so do not remember which ones,
but some doors are fussy and need the "rep" extension for QWK, others
may not be so fussy. Is this a door thing or the way the SYSOP has the
setup for his BBS. Not being a SYSOP I have no way of determining if it
can be changed. I have no idea about the BW doors as I do not remember
changing the extension on any of them from "new".
