I'll avoid mentioning the Courier's support for H16 and V32t, as these are essentially dead protocols these days. It's probably also worth pointing out that my first V.32bis modem cost me over A$1000 (as presumably, did yours), so $400 for a Courier sounds fairly trivial in comparison.
