Several years ago McDonalds switched and their coffee is now tolerable.
Still prefer Tim's though.  (Tim's = Tim Horton coffee -- a donut chain
where the menu now runs from breakfast "McMuffin equivalents"
through lunch time individually made sandwiches, soups, and chili and, of
course, donuts.)
