Yup.  There's enough technology available that highspeed pursuits simply
aren't worth the risk to society.  As one person pointed out, cops take
courses to learn to do this stuff while the crims are just panicing.  A
panicked crim behind the wheel of a speeding car is a recipe for disaster.
