Give me that one more time. The 615 came out the 17 Juli, do i had it for a 
week now. My current ROM version is 614 and it can easily connect TO a 28.8 
modem but only with 14.4 v.42bis. The 615 should do the trick so i can 
connect with 28.8 in stead?
It does not stand in the release note for the 615:

1. Fix ATQ1 bug.

6. Incorrect indication of HS LED light was fixed.
7. compatibility problem with version older than 6.00 was fixed.
8. Modem now only auto-detect format change (even, odd, none parity
   or 1, 2 stop bits) on 10 bits character length. Other than 10 bits, modem
   have to be config first then change the terminal setup.
9. Setting bit 2 of S52 will enable cellular dial backup.
