I saw a Losi GTX this week. It is very similar to the RC10GT,
nothing like the prototypes shown in the magazines. It uses LXT,
not XXT front suspension parts, the XXT front suspension would have
WAY too much steering according to Losi. My own experience with my
10GT confirms this. If Associated made a 10GT-2, it would stink if
based on the current T-2. The T-2 has massive amounts of steering
compared to the 10T. Maybe because of the weight distribution, maybe
due to something else, the 10GT already has too much steering.
Last summer, I could toss the GT's tail around sharp corners like
there was no tommorrow. We actually had to dial steering OUT of the
truck!
The GTX I saw came with a new version of the Dynamite TNT .12.
It seems that Dynamite has responded to all the complaints about
their .12 and fixed them in this version. The new engine comes with
an all-new carb, beefed-up connecting rod, and sealed bearings.
I think I'll try one of these engines this year!
See ya, Barry
