Canada CD might (probably?) be searchable on any field. The books to do
this are called the Criss Cross Reference and FWIH they can be
expensive...and Metro Toronto is about 4 volumes.

It might be better to get a good electronic daytimer/information manager
with a dialer that logs calls. You could just match numbers to the log. It
would probably be cheaper in the long run and you would get the other
features of the PIM as part of the package.
