The message from Lorne Murphy rises higher:
-=> From what I recall, Clark Ray said this to Lorne Murphy <=-
CR> I've got that album. It's not too bad and there are a couple of
CR> pieces that upon further listening I've liked much more than I used to
CR> (the opening piece, "gaillarde," for example). It's similar to Focus
CR> since the bands shared drummers (the fantastic Pierre Van Der Linden)
CR> and both have a similar use of organ. Focus, however, had more depth,
CR> I'd say. What I mean is Focus' had a wide range of styles on each
CR> album, whereas this Trace album is just one style really. Still, it's
CR> good. Largely classically influenced and there is a wide array of
CR> keyboard instruments used. They're more keyboard oriented than Focus,
CR> I'd say.
LM> I'll definitely look any of theirs up, if I can find them. Anyone
LM> with Focus similarities is probably good. And with more keyboards?
LM> Great! :) A question, though: Wasn't Ian Mosley the drummer for
LM> Trace?
Not that I know of and he's certainly not on the album I have. Maybe he
was in a newer band with the same name?
