As I said in a recent post, had the GOP maintained control of Congress in
2006 the answer to the question of Republican Party survival would have
been a resounding "NO!"

Two years of a Democratic Congress will muddy the waters just enough to
allow the base (true believers like Mark and GaryB) to claim that it was
the Dems that cost us the war.
