The problem with the SNP is that they know that

(A) They have a shrinking window as oil continues to drain from under the North Sea.

(B) That they're spouting bullsh*t. e.g. The EU has made plain that any
independent Scotland would have to start from square 1 wrt entry into the
EU vs the SNP's airy assertions that they'd still be inside & even if
not then entry would be automatic.

It would be deeply humorous if the UK veto'ed Scottish membership.

& of course till then.....the Scots would have to have visa's etc to
enter the EU & that includes the rest of the UK.....


Nealry all the Scots I know or have sene interviewed know this & have
said that their SNP vote is actually an anti-Labour vote & that they're
not in favour of dissolving the union.

However.....a SNP gov in Scotland would cause the Scottish ministers &
Westminster MP's some real electoral problems wrt the English. One
immediately thinks of a certain G. Brown in this respect (as well as Reid
etc.etc.etc.) .
