Do you have both a microphone-in and line-in? You do want to stick
with the mic if so, but it sounds like you already are. You might
play with the Windows sound recorder accessory (sndrec32.exe) to see
if you can see the green line move (while recording) when the Apple is
sending audio info. I adjust things (including audio driver settings)
until I can see good, healthy blips on the green line.
