Hey.. I worked with COBOL back in the day! But I wouldn't do any of
that as a volunteer. No way. But I suppose someone might be willing to
donate their time for that grunge work.

I remember reading somewhere that most ATMs ran on OS/2 and even Linux and
then switched to a Windows variant.
