Oh...OK....so it's an open ended commitment in the face of massive local
hostility....

I hold to the position that

(A) We'd do more good clearing up Afghanistan which we should never have
diverted from &

(B) That the locals will have a scrap for power no matter when we all leave
& that it will be SCIRI/Badr wot take down Sadr & possibly the
Sunni extremists too.
