Unlike many, I have not accused Bush of lying about the levee breach
business, and I don't think the videos are indicative of much of anything. 
So, as I said, I haven't bashed him *on this* issue.

Do I think he's a puppet who needs to be told what to do and say?  You bet.
  Do I think there's anything he could have done to mitigate the
pre-Katrina risks to people in the strike zone?  Absolutely not as of the
time of that video briefing.

It would have helped if he'd appointed a competent FEMA director instead of
Heck-of-a-job-Brownie, but the Republican patronage system doesn't reward
competence, it only rewards loyalty and service to the Party and its
Maximum Leader.
