Country, singular, not countries, plural.  The US was perfectly justified in
its actions against the government of Afghanistan.  It was *not* justified
in its conquest of Iraq and was in violation of international law in general
and the UN Charter (which is a treaty signed by the executive and ratified
by the senate) in particular.
