Boy, I spoke to soon. The 2.73 firmware is awesome.
For the first time it does indeed display the different link rates.
Not only that, but there appear to be some huge improvements in other
areas. Looking through the firmware at some of the diagnostic info:
Phase Jitter Frequency Offset Phase Jitter Amplitude
Carrier Frequency Offset Timing Frequency Offset Near End Echo Level Round Trip
Delay Far End Echo Level Far End Frequency Offset
DFT 1 Cosine Coefficient DFT 1 Sine Coefficient
DFT 2 Cosine Coefficient...
The only problem is that they have yet to release a general version of it.
The version I'm looking at is for the Socket Rocket 288.
It's the same size and the same format as for the Smart Modems. Will it
successfully flash into them?
