Not really. I found a V.32bis PCMCIA CardModem recently for a very cheap
$99. The V.34 model was some $550 more expensive. For (very!) casual
Internet and possibly BBS access, it was a good buy. Why spend hundreds of
dollars on a faster modem when it won't be used very often?
