Try

         make 2>&1 >error.log

After that you have all messages in the file error.leg.

I don't remember how the default Msged is configured :-). Principally, also
recompiling and reinstalling fidoconfig will not do a harm, though it might
not be necessary. I *assume* that if you compile Msged with the Husky
"Makefile", you will need fidoconfig, but if you compile with the
old "makefile.XXX" makefiles, you won't.
