This presumes that the Dominion wants to board the ship. It's also

can be aligned, but only on your own ship, not on anybody else's).
Actuall= y, if you're in a life-
or-death struggle up against a Dominion warship, you'll use any technique
y= ou can think of
to win or survive. Saying "Starfleet wouldn't do that" is not
going to sto= p you.
