Today's motorcycles use engine oil to lubricate clutches and
transmissions, which is why they still change oil on a 3k mile basis...the
use of synthetics in motorcycles is another item of contention, since it
doesn't do for clutch plates what it does for engine bearings, etc. ...
Dunno why, that's just what I'm told by my friend Andrew, who is a
motorcycle nut.
