Record companies have been screwing their (captive) artists for half a
century or longer.  Most artists are captives of their respective labels
in that the label won't deal with them except under an exclusive contract.

Movie studios have been screwing their investors for well over half a
century.  Their accounting is so 'creative' that blockbuster hit movies
such as but not limited to 'Star Wars' are shown to be money losers...
