subject: Multitech MT2834zdxi problem

Does anyone know how I could make my Multitech modem connect at higher than
24000 bps? I cannot seem to ever get the magical 28800 bps connect. I'm
hoping that I'm not the only person with this problem. Another problem that
I have with this modem is that it cannot detect the busy signal.

Any solutions will be appreciated (eg init strings etc.)
