I suspect some of that may be the BBS you are using. My former
BBS didn't do anything to SX or BW packets and there were no
problems. I assume the date correction was built into the mail
handling software.
SX and BW packets would not make it off the present BBS until
the SysOp put in a fix. So go figure.
