Given it's been routine (and mandatory) for decades for banks to report
cash transactions over 10K it's hardly a stretch to believe that this sort
of regime has been put in place. The one bit I found hard to swallow was
that posting of the transaction was delayed pending "permission"
from Homeland Security. That did not ring true to me.
