Did you buy it direct from Sony? Did you tell whoever you bought it from
(whether that is Sony or not) that you intended to run it under XP?
Though I'm not _too_ fond of Sony, I don't think you can claim corporate
greed unless the answer to both those questions is yes. (I. e. just
because _your_ XP Pro is "new", doesn't mean I'd expect Sony to support)
