Thanks Bob. I will try the local eyeglasses people and if no luck will go

Scott, you probably can get a few pads from GotGrit.com if desired. I'll
note that a roll of 250 or 300 of them is in the $25 price range so if
others are in need in your area, this may be the better thing to do.  I
don't know if I am lucky or there is a fair number of places out there but
I have a wholesaler that sells all of the eyeglass stuff near me and that
is the price for the pads I get.  I'm getting the medium (haven't seen any
thinner) regular glass pads in the rectangular form (the rectangular form
is better packed on a tool).
When using the pads, apply them to a hot surface (about 150F or higher) so
that the pad adhesive is more liquified and this will conform to the glass
better.  I've found that this not only keeps the pads from making bad zones
but also insures that the tack of the adhesive is good enough to stay on
the tool for a good long time.  I'll also note that the pads can't be
stored for a long period of time as the adhesive will gradually go bad.
There are a number of grades of the stuff and, for our purposes, the more
agressive, the better the pad is as we are just trying to get a polish done
on the surface rather than trying to get a perfect finish with the pads.
I also took a tour through Google on pads and, supprisingly didn't find
anybody that has prices on the web from the eyeglass type people.
