RM> What

Just one little thing that I'd like to point out.
To become a Chief Scout in Canada, you need to be appointed
Governor-General of Canada by our prime minister. Right now, the Chief
Scout of Canada is Romeo Leblanc. (For all you Americans out there,
Canada is a constitutional monarchy; our head of state is Queen
Elizabeth II, and in Canada, she is represented by Leblanc. He does
the ceremonial duties expected of a head of state, like welcoming
people to Canada, as opposed to head of government. This is a
non-political position.)
To earn the Chief Scout's Award, you do some requirements as a Scout;
they include stuff like earning an Exploring (hiking) badge, for which
you need to do 2 25-km hikes; you need to do some research on
citizenship and World Scouting; you need to be active in your troop for
a year; you need 30 hours of community service.
This just bugs me when people use the term incorrectly. I do realize
that you didn't start to use this term... it's just something I felt I
had to say.
On the other hand, I believe you can become a Queen's Venturer if you
earn the QV award in Venturing. It's based on the old Queen's Scout
award, where you actually could be called a Queen's Scout.
