Adding an external protocol is quite simple (adding it to the menus
is a bit more complicated).
For example, you could set it to execute on a keypress this easily:
  (:nf7} {exec proto.exe ...} {}
Just put the command line for your protocol in place of "proto.exe
..." and press F7 to activate it.
