  And then you get the mental attitude of "it won't happen to me" teenagers
(and some adults) have who take chances of one kind or another.
  So many accidents are caused by distracted drivers (on the phone,
texting, etc) and speed.  I've seen many people on bikes talking on their phone. 
Hit a bump and there goes the phone.
  Should my phone ring while I'm riding (and don't recognise the ring tone)
I'll check it later.  If its my bosses ring tone I pull off the road
somewhere.
