Hello Rob, On 08 Dec 12 at 21:10, you wrote to me: RS> It depends what the "other software is", but speaking for myself, I RS> generally try to make my software as compatible and interoperable as RS> is practical. The problem you're describing here sounds like a bug in RS> GoldEd's support of the Synchronet Message Base (SMB). How you would RS> come to the conclusion that it has RS> something to do with "how Rob and Stephen like to do things" is beyond RS> me. How in the world would something that's being done correctly be instantly blamed on the other software? If I remember right, we were talking about the fact that sbbsecho adds a TZUTC kludge with 0000. No matter what I have set for "Message Options > Local Time Zone" (which you told me to check). Prior to this I had it set to CDT/CST, and now it's set to UTC-6:00. Nothing changed in the TZUTC kludge. Why you would blame this on Golded (since the kludge is added when the message is exported from Synchronet, not when it leaves Golded) is beyond me. Lastly, I think we determined that nothing was wrong anyways. So quit being so defensive. Be glad someone is testing your software to further limits than most people that use it are. :) Regards, Nick --- SBBSecho 2.20-Linux* Origin: thePharcyde_ telnet://bbs.pharcyde.org (Wisconsin) (1:154/10) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 101 620 848 953 @PATH: 154/10 123/500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
