Dear John
Re your macro request - I thought you'd have lots of replies, so if you
already know the answer please ignore.
It is probably better to use AutoText to put in an address etc. Try the
following and let me know if you have any problems.
1. New doc. 2. Type in your address etc, use Fonts, formatting, WordArt
and so on. If you want to put the date in use Insert (Menu), Date & time...
but make sure the box is clicked next to "Insert as field". Note the bug in
this (it does not automatically update on the screen but does in the printout
or print preview); put the pointer inside the date and tap [F9]
3. Tap the number of Enters you want, minus one. 4. [Ctrl A] to select
all.
5. Arrow to Edit, AutoText and type in a single or 2 letter name (ie a or
ad) OVER the text that is already there. Tap Enter or click [ADD].
To use the autotext item simply place your cursor in the pos you want and
type in AD (or whatevery you called it) and tap the [F3] key. Hope this
helps.
