Thank you for your interesting collection of quotes. Tomorrow's argument is
unimaginable and open to a endless number of opportunities! In the short time
since I have left school -(well not so short) I have seen changes myself. In
the classroom these days children havetraining in computers and this training
is extending beyond 'computer lessons' across the other curriculum areas. I
see this as a very positivething too. As I looked through your quotes I saw
immense change but also a transition of gripes over very beneficial moves in
classroom practice. By providing means thatallow students to more efficiently
record and create information we are effectively providing more time and
resources for the more important activities such as critical thinking, actual
understanding and learning. The product the students use is secondary to the
product they create. I think itsomewhat backward of those people who
fantasise about the old days and learning the basics when the basics canso
easily be achieved by more efficient practice and tools. I don't know what
tomorrow's argument will be but I assume that it will reflect a very positive
transition in the mere products that students useto learn and will lead to
more time for constructive learning!!!! Do you agree?
