I have tried BaudBandit device, and didnt really notice much difference -
I still got no errors ;-) I havn't tried V34serial.device though, I may
have a look at it, for the hell of it. Is it on Aminet?

Hmm, I found the opposite - I found NComm 2 to be VERY stable, this
crashing with a large file (40MB) is the first time it has crashed on
me. On the other hand, I have had NComm 3 crash on me numerous times,
so often in fact, that I stopped using it :(

Yup, but it doesnt help much when the OS crashes while writing to the
HD and leaves that file unrecoverable :-(
