-=> IAN HOARE whispered to WOLF SZCZYPIORKOWSKI <=- IH> Hi Wolf, IH> Thanks for replying. Well, so far I've not been any help, but.. WS> # Editor for replies = $EDITOR; or if not defined, start /w notepad WS> editor: C:\Windows\Command\pedit.exe IH> Looks simple enough. I wonder why it won't work with Textedit IH> which is a fully DDE compliant windows program. Okay, maybe try and put the executable into the Windows directory or another directory with no spaces in the path. May or may not help, but it might be worth a try if you really want to use that particular editor. It might work with a shorter path where no quotations are needed. IH> Sigh. Good luck... Uh, one more thing.. the DOS path for "c:\program files" is "C:\PROGRA~1", if incorrect, nothing will work correctly. And most of the time Windows will not report this particular error. Ah, should have read all the other msgs before replying.. In DOS, the file names are also limited to 8 characters. Thus the 8.3 filename convention. So, if I remember correctly, you would have: "C:\PROGRA~1\TEXTPA~1\textpad.exe" as the DOS path & filename for your editor defined in mmail.rc (without the quotes). No need for a %1 to tell your editor to pick up the reply text file, but you do have to tell Multimail where to put the REP packet and if the path names are longer than 8 characters, you have to use the DOS naming convention in mmail.rc.
