&? Shrug. Same in lots of Africa, same in Burma same in etc.etc.etc.

Torture as a police method is widespread in that area. Even Turkey,
straining to meet EU norms is still having a hard time
"re-educating" it's internal security forces inc the police &
army.

Did I mention that the record was actually for the high diving from a
helicopter while wearing heavy chains contest?

Luckily Iraq has little in the way of a coastline & even then the sea is shallow.
