Actually, I think that just Captain Thorpe retained the memories, since he

the mysterious Borg tech that allowed him to move through time like that.

themselves in the Gobi Desert with no idea how they got there. I left the
= memories with
Thorpe so as not to totally press the reset button, although these memories=
have not really
influenced future stories. It would still be weird to have memories of a
c= omplete alternate
life, though.

By playing with the alien device the "stealth Borg" had, perhaps
something = the Borg
assimilated from some culture elsewhere in the galaxy.

It was a change of pace for sure.

better. I'm sure that we're all giving each other interesting ideas, and
i= t is fair
game to use them with our own spin and not simply steal the idea intact.
