Associate Professor Rohan Samarajiva of Ohio State University gave an
interesting account of the privatisation of Telmex (Mexican carrier) at the
Consumers' Telecommunications Network annual conference last week.
Good regulation of the carriers is necessary for good modem operation by
design rather than by good luck.
