That is light years faster than my old P-133 that I had running the BBS. It was odd to look at my "network room" and see these Core2 3.2Ghz systems with USB connections, etc and then see the P-133 with no USB, a fat keyboard connector and a turbo button on the case. It started to be very out of place.. :) The other reason I went the VM route was I wanted to somehow future proof the BBS where it wouldn't be tied to particular hardware anymore. I still think it is cool that I can quickly move my (2) BBS VMs from one machine to another in a matter of minutes and have them up and running again. Currently, they are sharing the same physical system as what runs my webserver. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.50* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 101 313 550 620 848 953 @PATH: 261/1304 1 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
