 I checked, I have version 6.0a.
 Would it matter that I have changed the location where my edit files
 are kept?  I wanted a separate directory away from all of the program
 files.
 Something is telling it to open a document on startup.  I just cannot
 figure out what is doing that, and correcting what it is asking for.
