It's just us, Richard, CH> Frank maybe, and the hobble goblins. I'm here! And I have an answere to your question too. It is . . . because we don't swear. That s simple. GP>I posted it to you in FUNNY, so if you still have it tagged at least fo GP>personal mail, you'll see it! GP>I did it that way, JIC there's any young lurkers in here. . . :| I haven't seen any young lurkers. But I'm not here about that. What I wanted to say is going to happen in the future of this letter. On 11-05-03 14:19 CINDY HAGLUND is will write to GEORGE POPE ___________________ CH> That's okay it's mmighty darn cute.I could never get those things to CH> work. How do you get it to work? I'd like to try the 3-D ROTFL I have CH> seen... but when I save it, it converts to text file and the ansi is CH> lost. hmm Help? :) I don't know how to save an ansi AS an ansi file. I CH> Imaine I'm not saving it to the right place or something. ___________________ and on 11-05-03 16:25 GEORGE POPE, you're going to say to CINDY HAGLUND, or I mean you cindy, I know you're here. (I didn't think it would be hard to write to two people at once) ___________________ GP>You mean the IBM characters (bright & solid, rather than using keyboard GP>characters)? GP>The only "nyuk" I have is: ___________________ I think Cindy means an ansi picture, or graphic, that is written and saves like a text file, and can have text in it, but also includes ansi codes that turn into shapes and colours when viewed through an ansi viewer. My thought is, that you need to open the file with an ansi viewer. Phew, all that just to say that! I'm a stickler for details. I would think, if I were in your shoes Cindy, and I opened the text file, that I would find that it is a jumbled mess of strange characters? No? That same mess of characters would become the graphic it is supposed to be if you used an ansi file viewer. The txt extention is simply generic. On Milky Way here the intro screens on the dialup, have no extentions at all. just a . If you want an ansi viewer you can get one here at Milky Way! Just Step Right This Way tap into the Milky Way FTP! It's in the file library, inside a qwk mail reader zip file called Wave Rider 1.31 The program is inside the zip file. I think the zip file is called WR131.ZIP or something like that. The program is a simple standalone executable file called ANSIVIEW.EXE, take it out or double click it in winzip, or other windows archive opener, then open your text file and it should look like the picture you know it was before. And George, I have the asci art you sent me. I'm still going to make a poster of those chicks you sent me. Perhaps I'll mail you a copy, or I could fax you one if you have a fax machine. Technically. And between the both of you, I still have know idea what a "nyuk" is. CC>GEORGE POPE CC>CINDY HAGLUND I don't know the details on Carbon Copy signatures. :( Good day to you both, Peace and Love, Richard Schabler, (aka) Richter Scale * WR 1.31 [NR] * UNREGISTERED EVALUATION COPY --- EzyQwk V2.01b003 00F90260* Origin: Milky Way, Langley, BC, 604-532-4367 (1:153/307) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 153/307 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
