BICYCLE WORLDS: I started my inquiries without realizing that
there are essentially two different bicycle worlds, the
"SPORT" world and the other mix of mundanes. (sort of the
BMW's and the Ford Escorts! .....and some in between!) I
would assume that by now my position as a "Ford Escort/senior
citizen" is understood in my questions.
 
BOY-GIRL STYLES: Is there any "functional" (useful to know)
difference between a boy's and a girl's bike?  Other than
"convention/style" is there some reason to prefer one over
the other (style/convention have no meaning for me). In
examining bikes, I find the girl's bike actually a bit
convenient for the senior citizen without that high center
bar. But! does it lack strength or "something"...?
