Although First USA is the same card company that sent me a letter
telling me my card would be 5.9% for the first year "then, 13.9
there after". About 2 years later they increased the rate to 22.9. When
I called and asked they said they would call me back in 7 days. 8 days
later I called them and was told that 22.9 was correct. I asked what
"there after" ment and they could not tell me. They state that the
contract I signed did not state 13.9 was guarenteed. I'm no attorney but
I think a letter accompaniing my contract should also be binding in some
way. Misleading in the least.
Oh, the first time they increased my rate to 22.9 they sent a letter
informing me that it was a mistake and they would correct it. Two phone
calls later and they did fix it.
