I have Dupuytren's contracture, which I inherited from my grandfather.  He
came from Clyth in Scotland and the gene responsible obviously came across
the North Sea at some time.  The other side of the family is descended in
part from a group stranded in England by the Spanish Armada.  Another
branch claims Moravian descent, and I've also got a direct line to
"burning bishop" Bonner.

We're all mongrels.
