I know this is a scanner forum, but as far as the Indiglo readout on my
Timex AM/FM Cassette Clock-Radio - it has an adjustable potentiometer
(sp?) for dimming it down to just about nothing. It was my concern also.
It works fine - even has an external headphone jack for "private
listening" (my wife thanks me) to favorite radio or cassette programs.
$39.95 at our "favorite" WalMart (regrets to all for beating this
subject in the ground)!
