Top stuff!  Here is my init string...

I now have the latest rom, identified as "2.72 rom", and done this...
Andrew Vaughan suggested the following initialization string:
at&f&d2&k3x3\n3#k0s7=60 
followed by \v and %u commands that I need.
Well I also need s0=0 to stop the modem auto-answering, and
I don't want the speaker on, so I will use:
at&f&d2&k3x3\n3\v6%u2s0=0m0


Now what we should really do is isolate which particular thing causes you
to be unable to connect.  I'll give you a call sometime.  BFN.  Paul.
