Hello Tobias. 04 Nov 02 22:57, you wrote to me: RT> I would rather prefer MsgEd to GoldEd, but the time I tried RT>> compiling it on RT>> my system, said the libraries I have are too "old" and would not RT>> compile, RT>> thus I am stuck with GoldEd. :-( TE> Would not even compile!? That cannot be. Ooops, sorry, memory is not good, the binary version would not run, due to glibc incompatibilty. I remember that Msged sometimes checks for the verison of TE> SMAPI, and if it does not suit, some functions of Msged are disabled, TE> but that's all. Bad memory recollection, sorry, it was at the stage where it was recommended to run SMAPI 1.64 and 2.00 at same time and I never got to doing this. :-((( TE> I'd suggest that while we fix JAM (actually I think it already is TE> fixed now) you get either the latest release or the latest current TE> versions of smapi and msged and report what troubles you have TE> compiling this on your Linux version. Hmmm..... done this already, MsgEd is not compiling bue to not being able to find libfidoconfig.so.0, I remeber having to use a LIBPATH= in my bash .profile file to correct this, seems ldconfig (?) on this system does not work. :-) Just currently cannot remember what this setting was, and I cannot find the file I put on my WIN box. TE> I am absolutely positive that a Linux upgrade will not be necessary. Now that I have givern this a bit more thought, I must agree with you.
