  But compare that to what you can do on the PC.  All it takes is a decent C 
compiler, an art program (readily and cheaply available), and a 3D modeler 
program.  If you make an add-on for Quake or Quake II, the cost is probably 
quite small compared to doing something similar on the Yaroze.  You don't 
even have to burn a CD; you can put up a shareware (or even freeware) version 
of your game up on the Internet with no hassles.
